Project description

In the Lausanne area, an environmentally conscious couple decided to take their home’s energy optimization a step further. With the support of Impact Living, a specialist in eco-friendly housing, they implemented a holistic and sustainable approach to their project.

Among the choices they made:

  • A rainwater harvesting system
  • A fully integrated solar roof covered with Freesuns Solaris™ Premium Black tiles

As the original roof structure was relatively new, no modification to the sub-roof was needed. Simply replacing the traditional tiles with solar tiles was enough, making the installation both quick and efficient.

Committed to using local and sustainable components, the owners chose an inverter from Swiss brand Studer, known for its reliability and compatibility with all energy storage systems. The installed battery is also from Studer, ensuring full system consistency.

Key figures:

  • Solar surface: 208 m²
  • Installed capacity: 27.27 kWp

This modern home now stands as a concrete example of a successful energy transition, proving that it is possible to leverage local resources, reduce one's carbon footprint, and ensure long-term energy independence, without compromising on aesthetics.
