A renovated mountain hut in Sarreyer

Project description

In Sarreyer, a mountain lover and telemark enthusiast has breathed new life into an old barn with no water or electricity.
Little by little, he renovated it himself, by hand and with all his heart.

Today, this mountain hut produces 10 times more energy than it consumes thanks to its Freesuns Heritage solar tiles!

It wasn't easy: located in a protected area, the municipality wanted a stone roof and visible panels.
But thanks to drone photos proving that the roof would blend perfectly into the landscape, the project was able to go ahead.

The result: invisible to the naked eye, a Sarreyer roof is now adorned with solar tiles.

Self-sufficient, discreet, and respectful of heritage, it is a fine example of sustainable Alpine energy.
