Project description

Strolling along the Place du Marché in Vevey, it's impossible to miss the emblematic Poids du Foin building. Once dedicated to weighing hay wagons, this historic building has recently been given a facelift thanks to a meticulous interior and exterior renovation that respects its heritage and looks to the future.

As part of the project, our Freesuns Solaris™ Heritage solar tiles were installed on the building's roof. These discreet and elegant slate imitation solar tiles blend in perfectly with the building's historic architecture, illustrating our commitment to responsible construction that respects the aesthetics of historic buildings.

Today, the building is home to the cosy Café du Bois d'Amour, which welcomes you throughout the day with its gourmet, friendly, local, seasonal, traditional and vegan cuisine. Take a seat on the terrace or inside, and let yourself be seduced by the unique atmosphere of this café, which blends old-world charm with modernity.

This project was carried out in collaboration with the town of Vevey and the Volet group.
