Projektbeschreibung

The municipality of Meggen, which is very active on the ecological level, has been working for several years to make its buildings, both public and private, more sustainable. It was therefore logical that the commissioned architect, Pascal Feucht of the Beljan+Feucht office, called on Freesuns to completely cover the roof of the Central 2 school with an aesthetic and integrated photovoltaic solution. The 435 m2 quarter-circle curved roof was a major architectural challenge that only Freesuns was able to meet in Switzerland, thanks to its custom-made tiles that can be adapted to any roof shape.

"This solution allowed us to cover the roof while respecting the quarter-circle geometry", says the architect.

The roof tiles were installed by the Meggen-based roofing company Marcel Buholzer AG.

The result is a stunningly beautiful roof, delivering renewable energy to the school.
