Project description

The century-old Collège des Parcs was in need of major renovation and upgrading. As project owner, the City of Neuchâtel wanted to restore the building to its original glory, adopting a renovation approach that respected its exterior and interior architecture, while improving its energy balance by installing an integrated solar roof. The City of Neuchâtel chose Freesuns as its partner to cover the entire roof with solar tiles, and the Volet company as the roofer responsible for the installation. The renovation and extension work is now complete, enabling pupils to be welcomed back in September 2025 with new facilities, including sports halls and a new school building, following a period of construction work that has been visible since May 2024.

Discover the video of this splendid project, as well as the renovation of two other public buildings in Neuchâtel, a city that can boast of its concrete actions towards the energy transition.
